Sparring Etiquette

All required gear must be worn when sparring
Inspect gear and discard damaged or worn-out equipment
Only spar with a qualified instructor present
Remember that sparring is a cooperative practice with a PARTNER, not a competition with an OPPONENT
Senior ranks have a responsibility to mentor junior ranks
Always calibrate your play to your training partner's skill level
No hand techniques to the head unless instructor directs otherwise
Those who use excessive force will sit out. Those who are unable to ensure their partner's safety will not be allowed to participate. Students will make zero contact until they have demonstrated control and earned the instructor's permission to make light contact
If you or your partner are injured, stop immediately and inform an instructor
Follow all other rules and feedback from your instructor
