"You are a great Teacher and you have helped my daughter build confidence in herself. Thank you once again."
--Mother of an 8-year-old Karate Kid
"I am very pleased with the benefits my son receives from your class. He is gaining understanding of what 'honor' is and it is helping in many areas of our lives. He is very physical and we constantly strive for him to use words to communicate and problem solve. Lately he seems to be mixing fantasy and reallity and we have discussed how honesty is an important part of honorable behavior...you are a wonderful teacher!"
--Mother of a 4-year-old Tiny Tiger
"Your class is great....I am motivated now to lose some weight, get limber and be able to do good in your class. Wish I was 20 again now, but 42 will have to do. Thank you so much for your teachings."
--Male adult student
"The program is so positive and motivating. Each month children have the opportunity to add stars to their KARATE KIDS PATCH, by working on
specific goals. Last month my son worked on the goal of eating
more healthy foods--especially veggies. As a result, he has been
eating a good sized bowl of GREEN salad every night for dinner. This is
a major accomplishment for Mr. Starch eater!"
--Mother of a 6-year-old Karate Kid

"I've really enjoyed watching my son take an interest in something and grow from it. When I had told him sorry that we had missed his belt testing he said, “It’s OK mom, it’s not like everyone else is a black belt and I’m the only orange belt in class. I can help teach the new orange belts.” My heart swelled. He is learning so much and it is more than just motions with his body, he is learning to feel with his soul. Is there a star for a comment like that?"
--Mother of a 7-year-old Karate Kid
"Academic accomplishments are strongly encouraged. My son got a star for good spelling tests and a good report card. Mr. Schreiber makes a big deal out of all accomplishments and you can just see the pride in their eyes each month as each kid is acknowledged and celebrated!"
--Mother of a 6-year-old Karate Kid
"I wanted to share with you that several weeks ago a man was following me around the grocery store and then outside as I was leaving, he tried to talk to me and I was being polite but told him to leave me alone. Needless to say, he reached out and grabbed my arm and can you believe that I turned it on him!! I can't even remember what I did except that I used a wrist movement and had his arm behind his back and pushed him away from me and then started yelling for security. It was scary, but very liberating. I wanted to thank you for what you've taught me (so far)...it's made a difference in my life and I didn't even know it."
--Female adult student
"Last Saturday was so much fun for my son. He was actually showing off his forms all weekend, it was great! Anyhow, he's been practising memorizing and spelling all these words for school. And last Friday, they had a test and did well."
--Mother of a 5-year-old Karate Kid

"I just wanted to thank you for making such a big deal about the brown
belt's testing today. I know that my son was working really hard on his
form this week. He got up quicker than usual yesterday morning and
watched the ATA DVD before school and did again this morning. I could
tell that they all worked really hard. They think very highly of you
and did not want to disappoint you, and your praise left them all
beaming with pride!"
